Low Temperature Microcalorimeters for Decay Energy Spectroscopy

چکیده
Low Temperature Detectors have been used to measure embedded radioisotopes in a measurement mode known as Decay Energy Spectroscopy (DES) since 1992. DES microcalorimeter measurements for applications ranging from neutrino mass metrology safeguards and medical nuclides. While the low temperature detectors extremely high intrinsic energy resolution (several times better than semiconductor detectors), achieved practice is strongly dependent on factors such sample preparation method. This review seeks present literature consensus what has learned by looking at function of various choices detector, absorber, methods.

Low-temperature (4-77°k) Spectroscopy of Anacystis; Temperature Dependence of Energy Transfer Efficiency
From the absorption spectra, emission and excitation spectra of chlorophyll a (Chl a) and phycocyanin fluorescence measured (from 4 to 77 °K) at different wavelengths, we confirmed that a large portion of Chl a (Chl a 670, Chl a 678 and Chl a 7o5),.in Anacystis, is in System I, and that System II is composed mainly of phycocyanin and of some Chl a 670 and Chl a 678. Our data also confirmed the ...

From the absorption spectra and the excitation spectra of chlorophyll a fluorescence measured (4-77 °K) at different wavelengths (685-760 nm) and their comparison with the emission spectra published elsewhere 23, we confirm that both the Pigment Systems (I and II) contain chlorophyll b, chlorophyll a 670 and chlorophyll a 678. But System II is relatively enriched in chlorophyll b and System I i...
متن کاملCorrelation at Low Temperature: I. Exponential Decay
The present paper generalizes the analysis [18, 2] of the correlations for a lattice system of real-valued spins at low temperature. The Gibbs measure is assumed to be generated by a fairly general pair potential (Hamiltonian function). The novelty, as compared to [18, 2], is that the single-site (self-) energies of the spins are not required to have only a single local minimum and no other ext...

متن کاملApparatus for low temperature thermal desorption spectroscopy of portable samples.
An experimental setup for low temperature thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS) integrated in an ultrahigh vacuum-chamber housing a high-end scanning probe microscope for comprehensive multi-tool surface science analysis is described. This setup enables the characterization with TDS at low temperatures (T > 22 K) of portable sample designs, as is the case for scanning probe optimized setups or ...
